Z now going back together.  Refurbished wheels are back in. All engine cases polished and refitted.  Engine re-finished, valve clearances checked, cam chain adjusted, new oil and filter. Carbs stripped and cleaned.  New front mud guard, clock covers, indicators, headlight.  Brakes freed off.  Callipers polished, refitted and bled. Swinging arm, chain-guard bracket welded.  Repainted, chain-guard fitted, electrics sorted.  Replaced rear shocks. Front forks polished and refitted.  New battery.  All working.

My Own Personal Restoration Project

1968 Yamaha YL1 100 Twin jet. My first bike. Rode thousands of miles round Hereford, two up, in all weathers. I tried to buy one through Bonhams Auction last year but the bidding went too high. Found this one and just had to have it! Labour of love ...watch this space.

Found a seat in the States. Needs re-upholstering and re-covering.
